NCSTT Showcases Cutting-Edge Innovations at IIMS 2025

Jakarta, (SR)-, From February 13th to 23rd, 2025, the National Center for Sustainable Transportation Technology (NCSTT) actively participated in the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2025 Exhibition at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta. NCSTT's involvement in this prestigious event underscores its unwavering commitment to advancing sustainable and environmentally-friendly transportation technologies, steering toward the commercialization of research products.

During IIMS 2025, NCSTT unveiled a plethora of groundbreaking innovations. A highlight of the exhibition was the introduction of the Zeus E-Trike, an electric three-wheeled vehicle meticulously engineered to cater to a diverse spectrum of market demands, including micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), as well as industries such as food, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, and tourism.

The Zeus E-Trike, a notable innovation derived from NCSTT’s extensive research, has been commercialized by PT. Rekacipta Inovasi ITB and PT. Allied Harvest Indonesia. This electric tricycle is available in two distinct variants: the X Series, tailored for goods transportation and tourism, and the Y Series, optimized for logistics with enhanced protection. Entirely designed and manufactured domestically, the Zeus E-Trike leverages the local supply chain to achieve an impressive Domestic Component Level (TKDN) of up to 90 percent.

Weighing 300 kg with a payload capacity of 550 kg and a compact width of merely 1 meter, the Zeus E-Trike presents an ideal transportation solution for navigating congested urban environments. It features a robust 5 kW BLDC electric motor, a 72 VDC lithium battery, a top speed of 40 kph, disc brakes on both front and rear wheels, and an advanced suspension system to ensure rider comfort and the safe transport of goods. Its design is further enhanced by its efficiency and low carbon emissions, distinguishing it as a superior alternative to fossil fuel-powered vehicles.

The development of the Zeus E-Trike exemplifies NCSTT’s dedication to pioneering eco-friendly transportation solutions. In addition to this innovative vehicle, NCSTT showcased an array of other research outputs, including fast-charging technologies for electric vehicles, high-safety battery packs, integrated energy management systems, and data-driven transportation solutions. These advancements are poised to significantly mitigate transportation challenges in Indonesia and enhance the quality of life for its citizens.

NCSTT’s participation in IIMS 2025 not only highlights its expertise in developing future-forward transportation technologies but also its steadfast commitment to supporting government initiatives aimed at fostering a cleaner and healthier environment through technological innovation.

Consequently, NCSTT’s presence at IIMS 2025 serves as a pivotal moment to introduce sustainable transportation technologies to the broader public and forge collaborations with various stakeholders, collectively working towards a more sustainable and efficient future for transportation.
