Micro-Sized Electric Bus

The electric microbus prototype developed by Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) is part of Indonesia’s Mobil Listrik Nasional (Molina) research program initiated in 2012, funded by Lembaga Pengelola Dana Pendidikan (LPDP) under the Molina Program. Through this program, ITB has contributed to the design and development of various electric vehicle platforms, including urban electric transport systems. ITB’s research covers the development of fully electric urban vehicles, such as microbus-type people movers, along with supporting technologies, including electric drivetrains, power electronics, and battery management systems created in collaboration with national partners. The project is part of ITB’s effort to advance domestically engineered electric mobility solutions tailored to Indonesia’s urban transportation challenges.
