Workshop on Electric Vehicle Technology

Bandung, (SR),- On Thursday, July, 18, 2024, NCSTT held a workshop themed “Workshop on Electric Vehicle Technology” at the Convention Hall, PAU Building, Bandung Institute of Technology. This event is organized by NCSTT as a commitment to support the smooth transition to electric vehicles by focusing on strengthening the local industry to participate in the research, development, and production of electric vehicles. This event aims to enhance knowledge about Electric Vehicle (EV) Technology and to provide participants with an understanding of global developments in electric vehicles.

The event began with a pre-test before starting the event, to examine the understanding of participants on the topics prior the workshop. Post-test at the end of the event was then done to assess the knowledge gained by the participants. The event was then opened by Prof. Endra Joelianto, Director of NCSTT, by presenting introduction to NCSTT and their current research projects related to EV. Two keynote speakers from different backgrounds who have insights, experience, and research related to EV then explained the workshop theme:

1. Prof. Dr. Eng. Muhammad Aziz, University of Tokyo, Japan: Presenting the theme “Synergistic Adoption of Electric Vehicles and Renewable Energy towards Sustainable Energy and Economy.
2. Ir. Agus Purwadi, M.T., Bandung Institute of Technology: Presenting the themed “Progress on Electric Vehicle Technology in Global Market”

The event was run by hybrid scheme. There are on site participants whereas 47 participants follow the event via zoom online meeting. In the end of the event, NCSTT gives prizes for on-site participants who have highest score in pre-test and post-test. Given the importance of transportation technology, NCSTT considers that it is an essential to have a solid understanding of electric vehicle technology for young generation. NCSTT expected this event can serve as an example of the development of electric vehicles in Indonesia.
